Spill Response Awareness Training

Our 40-minute training module will introduce you to a variety of safety precautions and hazards related to spills. Appropriate spill response is essential in preventing injury, illness or disease. There are a variety of factors one must take into account when cleaning up a spill that are introduced in this module, which are important in not only protecting our safety but that of others as well.

This module is intended to teach you a variety of steps and precautions related to appropriate spill response that include: employer, worker and supervisory responsibilities/rights, health and safety cleanup operations, instructions for cleanup, how to protect oneself, oil spills, gasoline and diesel fuels, types of cleanup equipment/means of containment used, how chemicals enter the body, personal protective equipment and the basics of decontamination.

It is important to note that this program is an AWARENESS training program and further training may be required depending on the organization you are working with.
